Learn how to hit the ground looking glossy, no matter which class your seat’s in with a little help from fashion and beauty blogger Rebecca Laurey.
When I was younger, the only game I enjoyed playing was “when I travel, I always pack…”. Perhaps a presage to my current peripatetic life, I loved trying to remember what everyone wanted to pack - and always tried harder than the others to remember the full list (I hate to lose!)…
The below list is like that game - only the beauty edition. These are on my hit list when I travel to keep my skin, body and hair in tip-top condition after flying:
Skin.I've recently started to use products I never even thought of before like 111SKIN's 'Y Lift' serum, which is specifically formulated to tone and tighten the skin on your neck and décolletage. Better to prevent than treat, no? It's always important to hydrate and moisturise, and even more so when you travel. Sunday Riley's corrective serum is designed to give you the flawless look of having “good genes” and the multi-tasking treatment plumps fine lines, improves circulation, brightens and evens tone, and helps to restore damaged skin - it can even be used as a mask. Win, win, win. Goldfaden MD's powerful Regenerative Night Cream has similar restorative results, but is designed to be used at night.
Apart from hydration, cleansing is key. To make life easier when travelling, I love using Lauren Napier's Cleanse Facial Wipes.
Hair.I consider my hair to be one of my fave “accessories” so always endeavour to take care of it well. I recently started using SHOW Beauty's Sublime Repair Shampoo to restore lustre, and their Sublime Repair Conditioner to nourish and protect my dehydrated locks. Side note: it doesn't hurt that they look super chic on the side of the tub, either!
Last but not least: nails.I pack Reverence de Bastien's unguent and apply it to strengthen brittle nails and hydrate my dry cuticles.
So there’s my definitive list for touchdown fabulousness!
